Not alone have pictures of the new Android operating system 2.3 aka Gingerbread been released by the anonymous snapper, but it is seen running on a Samsung-built Google Nexus S.

Microsoft asks Windows Phone 7 Users Not to JailBreak

Google's gingerbread Androids are fully baked


Google Mobile just unleashed a tweet that is sure to rile up the masses craving another sweet Android treat. The tweet read “Our cafes are baking up something sweet” and included a link to the picture above. Those Android-shaped gingerbread cookies look delicious and handsome with their little green bow ties, but it only makes us hungrier than ever for the next Android update. If this little tease is any indication, it could be coming as soon as we are all hoping.
The latest rumors are pegging Android 2.3 for a debut early next week alongside the Nexus S (which is evidenced as getting an in-store Best Buy display on the 14th, though contradicting rumors state the phone has been delayed for a hardware overhaul and Best Buy’s info is outdated). Just give me a big glass of milk, cause I have some cookies to eat.

Features to Expect on Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Android's version 2.3 or Gingerbread was supposed to come out of the cookie jar yesterday (November 11) but there's no official word on it till now. However, there have been a couple of confirmed new features, like improved copy-paste and social networking features as well as support for Google's new WebM video format.

Android phones outsell iPhone 2-to-1, says NPD Group

Android-powered smartphones outsold iPhones in the U.S. by almost 2-to-1 in the third quarter, a research firm said today.
Analysts explained the Android boom by pointing out the plethora of manufacturers that equip their smartphones with Google's mobile operating system, and highlighting their availability on all the major U.S. carriers.
